Ubepari PC started with a simple observation: a good PC costs more than most Tanzanians can pay on any one day, even when they can comfortably pay for it over a year. Banks won't finance a laptop. Shops want the full amount upfront. So we built the missing piece — Lipa kidogo kidogo, a hire-purchase plan you can actually read and trust.
What we do
We sell personal computers and finance them ourselves, in Tanzanian Shillings, to people living in Tanzania. 20% deposit, the rest spread over 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. No guarantor. No collateral beyond the PC. No tricks buried in small print.
Why we exist
In Dar es Salaam, a student who could earn with a design laptop often can't buy one. A small accounting firm that needs three office PCs is quoted a single up-front figure that kills the project. A freelance video editor replaces their aging machine with whatever they can afford that week — not what they actually need.
The gap isn't desire, or even income. The gap is the financing. Ubepari PC exists to close it. Built in Dar, for people in Dar — and, increasingly, the rest of Tanzania.
